Not a deliverable. Access to independent judgment at the points in an AI programme where a managing partner needs someone to think with — someone who has no commercial interest in which direction the decision goes.

AI programmes produce decisions constantly: which vendor to proceed with, whether a pilot result is good enough to scale, how to handle a governance question that the policy doesn’t cover, whether the programme lead’s confidence is justified. These decisions happen in real time. The retainer exists for those moments.

Priority access throughout the engagement. Calls, written responses, review of documents or proposals. No fixed meeting schedule, no mandatory reporting, no deliverables unless we agree one is useful. The commitment is availability and honest judgment, not a consulting product.

A managing partner or equivalent who has already made the decision to invest in AI and wants an independent voice throughout. Not a substitute for internal capability or programme management — a supplement to it, for the moments when an inside perspective isn’t enough.

The retainer follows a diagnostic or a workshop rather than leading. It exists for people who have seen the work and want ongoing access to it. If that’s where you are, the conversation is straightforward.

£1,750 per month, six month minimum commitment. Billed monthly.
